Should you distribute your podcast everywhere? | Podcasting Sucks! - Issue #15

Happy Monday ☀️ I hope the weekend treated you well!
Every Monday’s episode of the Podcasting Sucks! podcast is free and this morning I spoke about podcast distribution and how Apple and Spotify account for 60% of the market while Google, and all the others, individually, account for 3% or less - from 3% all the way down to 0.1%!
With so many listening platforms available, but only two of them holding a substantial portion of the market, how important is broad distribution these days? More than that, how sustainable is it to try to grow our podcast across so many platforms?
When it comes to our time and our money, do we care about promoting our podcast everywhere?
I say no, and I flesh out the reason for my answer in today’s episode and in the blog post linked below. I hope you’ll take the time to read or listen.
Have a great week!
Take care.
